Summary Templates for Discord Events

Today, we are happy to introduce Summary Templates, a powerful new feature that allows you to customize the formatting of your event summary messages in Discord. With this new functionality, you have control over how your summaries appear, making it easier than ever to provide clear and concise information to your community.

We strive to make our default notification and summary layouts as useful as possible. That's why we've developed Summary Templates, empowering you to tailor your summaries according to your specific needs and preferences.

What's New?

We've listened to your feedback and have built a new template editor and incorporated a wide range of new template functions to enhance the customization options available to you. The template variables and functions allow you to dynamically insert various details into your summaries, including event titles, dates, times, descriptions, and more. With this expanded functionality, you can create summaries that are both informative and visually appealing.

Summary Previewer: See It Before You Send It!

To make the customization process even more user-friendly, we've introduced a Summary Previewer. This tool enables you to render a preview image of how your custom summary template will look in Discord, helping you fine-tune the formatting to achieve the desired outcome. With the Summary Previewer, you can iterate on your templates quickly while ensuring that your event summaries are engaging and easy to follow.

Getting Started with Summary Templates

Creating your first Summary Template is simple; follow these steps to get started:

Access the Summary Templates feature in the Chronicle Bot dashboard.
Choose a base Summary Style, either Group By Day or Single Events.
Utilize the new template functions to personalize your summaries with dynamic information.
Use the Summary Previewer to visualize your template and make adjustments as needed.
After saving, apply your custom template to a notifier by selecting the new Template Message Style for your summary.
